Kentucky Mountain Log Cabin Rug is made of wool roving, yarn, and carpet warp.  It is woven and then felted for a good feel.  Class fee is $50.  Materials are $40.  Email janeeh@g2a.net if interested.

Woven Amulet Bags worn as a necklace has been a great success!   This is a two-session class.  The second session will be arranged with the class at that time.  Colors need to be ordered two weeks before the class starts or choose from colors in stock.  The bags require a 4-ply waxed linen. Waxed linen in many colors is available through Lambs Quarters.  The cost of the class is $30.  The supplies for one necklace will run about $6 and you will need to bring small decorative beads the second class.  Some beads are available here.  If you are interested in this class, please email  janeeh@g2a.net. Watch for a followup class to this one on the Hanging Basket Pendant to start TBA.  Victoria Widi is the instructor for both of these classes.

Waxed Linen Miniature Baskets are a great project to take traveling these days.  They require only your fingers as tools.   They measure about 2-3 inches in diameter.  You can make them as tall as you like and weave beads in as you go if you like.  They are useful as a place to keep tiny things you might misplace - like a hearing aid!   This requires a second class which is arranged according to all the participants' schedules at the time of the first class.  Cost is $30 plus materials.  A variety of waxed linen (4-ply) will be available for purchase.  You will be given the opportunity to order more colors for future baskets also.  Materials are paid at time of class.

Next class:  TBA To register email: janeeh@g2a.net

Beginning/Intermediate Weaving  includes those who are totally new to weaving with no background to those who have done beginning weaving and want to continue with other basic projects.  Typical projects for this class beyond the beginning sampler which beginning weavers will do are simple rugs, placemats, runners, scarves, dishtowels, and other structures that can be done in tabby weave.   Those totally new to weaving will do a sampler in 5/2 perle cotton as the first project.  This will be offered as a class or individually as requested.  Class dates are determined as people inquire.   The total number of hours in groups of 3 or 6 hours is 12 hours.   Cost is $90 plus materials.  Payment for class is required at least 2 weeks prior to startup. Contact  janeeh@g2a.net for more information. Also offered as adult/child class.    Mara and Grandma Dolores                      Mara's sister, Sarah Jarvis

Beginning Weaving Adult/Child Team allows an adult and a child to learn to use a floor loom together sharing the work and the fun.  You need no background to do this except a desire to learn to weave and spend time with a special child.  We've had two special classes with 2 or 3 generations of class participants.  Contact Jane now to get your name on a waiting list!  The first class is 3 hours to continue with 9 more hours to be arranged after the first class to occur within the next 3-4 weeks after the start date.  The child must be at least 13 years old (some leeway).  What a pleasant way to spend some time with a teenager!  The "team" fee is $100 plus materials.  The project will be a sampler that will give you both plenty of knowledge to strike out on your own or take more advanced classes.  Please email Jane at  janeeh@g2a.net to register.

Next class is not set yet.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kathy Jahnke of Appleton teaches a two-session knitted/felted/embellished tote bag.  Kathy sells these bags at a number of shops around Wisconsin.   The bag is knit, then felted before the second session.  Kathy will offer you a pattern for a bag she has done or you can purchase a book which has other patterns you can choose from.  During the second session you will finish the tote and needle felt it as you please.  Needle felting is a great way to embellish your felted projects such as bags or pillows.  It is also called dry felting since no water is needed to felt.  In this class you will learn to knit and felt the bag and learn the needlefelting technique using special needles.  You must know how to knit already.  Class fee is $30.  Materials will run about $35 plus needles if you need them.  You will be sent a list of materials prior to the class.  Email janeeh@g2a.net if interested.

Needle felting is offered as a stand-alone class during the second session of the class above.  You may take ONLY the needle felting if you like.  The fee is $20 plus a kit which costs about $10.  Email janeeh@g2a.net if interested.
